R.K. College of Pharmacy, affiliated with the Indian Pharmacy Council, New Delhi, is one of the leading centres for generating trained manpower in the field of Pharmacy. The teaching program is conducted according to the syllabus specified by the Indian Pharmacy Council. Clinical experience is an essential component of our training program and plays a crucial role in establishing a sound nurse-patient relationship. To achieve this, Students are getting exposure to all the modern and sophisticated units of our hospital and gain adequate experience in the hospital’s super-specialties, such as the CT Scan Department, Lithotripsy Unit, MRI Centre, Dialysis Unit, Gastroenterology Department, In-vitro Fertilization Unit, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, and Minimal Access Surgery, as per the norms laid down by the PCI. As part of the school’s regular activities, students are taken on educational visits to various institutions, such as Parag Dairy, waterworks, sewage treatment plants, homes for the blind, and old age homes. Students also receive one and a half months of clinical experience in psychiatric nursing at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences, and one month of rural health training at Karchana and the urban slums of Allahabad. Our training is integrated with community nursing, where preventive care is emphasized. We strive to instill this approach in our students through various community health programs. These community health and public awareness activities are regularly undertaken by the students as part of their curriculum.
